Reading Box Car #108474 is part of a series of cars built for the Reading by American Car & Foundry. Ordered in October of 1950, the cars were numbered 108000 thru 108474, and assigned Reading Class XMb. Cars in the XMb class wore a single door and is wearing the Reading “Banner” paint scheme. The cars most resembled the class XMa Boxcars. The Class XMb cads were rebuilt starting in May 1965.

Boxcar 108474 is to be restored into it’s original Green and Yellow “Banner” paint scheme.
