Sorting, cataloging, and researching

Artifacts
Photographing, cataloging, and storing

Communications
Keeping in touch with members, visitors, community groups

Education
Preparing exhibits, teaching children, speaking opportunities

Equipment Restoration
Painting, lettering, wood and metalworking, welding, etc.

Fundraising

Modular Layout
Modeling, repairs and maintenance of modules, operating at train shows

Museum Staff
Welcoming visitors, giving tours of the yard

Publications
Writing articles, editing, researching

Staffing our gift shop and sales tables at special events

Yard and Building Maintenance
Landscaping, carpentry, painting, housekeeping

Museum Helpers Wanted! 
Volunteers/Docents are needed to staff the Museum during the hours when the Museum is open. Docents receive training in museum procedures and cash register operations, and learn to give guided tours of the outdoor exhibits. Docents may serve once a month or more often, as available.
